Very simple, cheap food. Hard to go wrong when pretty much everything is in the 7-9 range and it all tastes good. Fast service and outdoor seating here. The sauteed ono could've passed for sit-down restaurant quality, so it's not all dive-y kinda food either!

My husband and I always enjoy checking out drive in restaurants. This one popes up and it was great. My husband and the fish burger with fries. I had the Korean chicken (chicken wings).

One of my favorite eating places is Hilo. Never had issues with parking as far as availability goes. Ground beef used in the hamburger tastes excellent. Lettuce, tomatoes, and onions used on the Burger were crisp and fresh. French fries were fresh. Outdoor covered seating with plenty of room and fresh air. Not all items on the menu are available all of the time. Multiple visits are required to taste the great local foods.

K's Drive-In began in 1964, as did I LOL there is a reason it has been around for this long. All the local classics done well. Breakfast lunch or dinner. They are known for their twist cones and the flavors change often. French fries are really good here as is the beef stew. Order at the window and sit on the patio or get it to go

Must try their twist flavor serve ice cream. I had the pineapple and vanilla flavor. Delicious dessert after eating one of K's Drive-In special of the week. Their mac salad was also good. They have a variety of local dishes.

I love me a good home burger style. The picture doesn't look to appealing, do to i was in a rush, but the taste was fulfilling. Crispy fries to my liking . Chill vibe wherever you go in hilo.

One of the last greasy spoons of Hilo. If you're not too picky and particular, this is your choice to eat. Their prices have gone up some. They have a lot of local island favorites, though.
